ONE in a million-The story of Ellie Joy {celebrating one year}
When we knew you were joining our family, I loved you. When they told me you were a girl, I held a special place for you in my heart. When I held you for the first time, you looked into my eyes almost to say, "there you are mama." When you cuddled with me and started to feed, I bonded with you. When you were whisked away to the NICU, I cried for you. When I was discharged but you were not, I stayed with you. When you couldn't sleep, I let you play with my hair. When you laugh, I laugh. When you smile, I smile. When you hug me...I loose it all!
Ellie Joy has always been my mama's girl. It was sometimes frustrating to feel like I could never leave the house without having her attached to me, but I realized early on that I was her comfort. This little being of chubby cheeks and fuzzy hair wanted me of all the people in the world. What an honor.
Now that we are at her one year birthday, I would like to share some of my favorite pictures of her and relive the most joyful year of our lives.
