The Pink Smoky Eye

Today was a beautiful day in Kansas to have a photo shoot featuring the pink smoky eye! This look is a great one for the summer months remaining. It has the drama of a smoky eye with some sass from the pink hue.

Rachel was my model today! She is one of my Mary Kay customers who loves this look! It looks really nice on her skin tone and with her short, blonde hair!
I enjoy every time I meet with Rachel because she is always so excited about the product and trying something new.

Let's discuss the products we used on Rachel! First we started with foundation primer of course! Rachel likes to use mineral powder foundation so we used a combination of colors: ivory 2 with a hint of beige .5
We put a little bit of bronzer around her face for a subtle glow, and a mix of ripe watermelon and juicy guava blush on her cheeks!
For the eyes we used eye primer to set the canvas. The primer is great because it brings out the true pigments of the shadow. Plus it acts like glue to keep your eye color on all day long! We then started with a base color of crystalline all over the eye from lash to brow bone.
Then we put giving heart blush from the middle of the lid and over to the edge. This blush is amazing! it has a built in highlighter so when you use it on your cheeks it makes you look fabulous. It is like an instagram filter on your face! it works really well for this look on the eye as well.
Next we used espresso as the darker part on the outer area making the smoky effect. I decided to add a little more pink on Rachel since pink looks so good on her. So I used a bright pink out of our sunlight eye pallet.
Last but certainly not least we use finishing spray! BOOM!

Doesn't she look great in this look?

Here is a look at some of the other fun pictures we took today!

Thank you Rachel for being my model today and enjoying the products as much as I do!
