Glowing Skin and Glossy Lips

It is officially that time of the summer where is it reaching high temperatures and making us feel a little bit melted. With me being 8 months pregnant, it is not ideal. I wish that I could say I was as happy as Olaf the snowman is about summer...but here we are!

However, summer is one of my favorite times of year for beauty and fashion. My younger sister and I both have freckles that become more radiant once hit by the sun. I love that bronze summer glow that bounces off of your skin, and that natural highlight that happens in your hair.

I have not spent a lot of time in the sun this summer and when I do, I make sure to put on my SPF 50. So to play catch up I decided to try out a summer glow beauty look. I gathered my favorite Mary Kay products that screamed things like sun kissed and golden and had some fun with it!

First I started with my base of cc cream. CC stands for color correcting so it helps bring out your true shade all while covering any flaws you may want to hide. It is so lightweight like a moisturizer. It also has SPF 15 in it which I love. It is so great to slap on before the pool or beach for a natural, but beneficial look.

Then I put on cream eye shadow in color apricot twist. That just sounds tropical am I right? I like it because it gives me color without being too much. It makes for a great quick fix if you are in a hurry! Even the color on it's own would be a great summer look, but I wanted to amp things up a little. So next I added a couple of mineral eye colors to the mix. First was amber blaze. This amazing, warm gold color. Then a little espresso to create a smoky look.

Next I used some bronzer and a bold cheek color called spiced poppy. She is amazing because it is a rich color that also has a highlighter in the compact. So I can go bright with my color and soften it a little more with the highlighter, also giving me that summer shimmer.

Last I throw on some brown eye liner which is a little different for me since I usually use black. I did that because I really wanted my lashes to be the boss lady. I used lash intensity mascara to create a va va voom if you will. Then I put on some translucent powder so anytime I sweat from the heat, my makeup will stay right in it's place all...day...long!

Now go get yourself glowing!
